Robert Copa

Robert Capa was born in Friedmann Endre on October 22 1913. He was a Hungarian war photographer. He was in five different wars, Spanish Civil War, Second Sino- Japanese war, World War 2, Arab- Israeli War and the First Indochina War. He documented the course of World War 2 in, London, Noth Africa,Italy,Normandy and Paris. In 1947 Capa co-founded Magnum Photos.

Capa left home when he was 18. He wanted to be a writer but he found work in photography in Berlin and then grew to love art and photography. In 1993 he moved to France because of Nazism and the persecution of Jewish journalists and photographers. He changed his name from 'Friedmann' and adopted the name 'Robert Capa'


 This was taken In France on July 26th, 1944. It shows two American soldiers next a dead German over fellow American.



 This was all so taken in France on 26th-30th July, 1944. Near St Lo. It shows American troops under fire by German soldiers. 










This was taken on 6th June 1944 on the Normandy Landings. It shows an American troops on Omaha Beach, which was the worst of all the beaches on the Normandy Landings.
